SHIRLEY JACQUELLYN WILEY

Shirley Jacquelyn Wiley, 64, of Lincoln City, Ore. died Aug. 24, 2008 in Lincoln City. She was born Sept. 12, 1943 to William and Irene Miller in Ridgefield, Wash.

She worked as a hair stylist, beauty instructor and meat wrapper in Portland for most of her life. Prior to the decline of her own health, she served as a companion for the chronically and terminally ill in the community. She and her Chihuahua, Joey, brought many smiles to people when they were out and about in town. She had a great network of supportive friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Miller, sister, Betty Miller and brother, Donald Miller.

She is survived by her mother, Irene Miller of Depoe Bay; sons, David (Tammy) Wiley of Portland and Dan (Avey) Wiley of Portland; daughter, Elissa (Travis) Westbrook of Salem; brother, Ron Miller of LaPine; sister, Franci Miller of Lincoln City; grandchildren, Lisa Wiley, Kyle Wiley, McKenzi Wiley, Daejah Wiley, Chris Wiley and Cory Wiley of Portland; nieces, Shelley Miller of Lincoln City, Holly Diaz and Sarah Diaz formerly of Lincoln City; nephew, Matt Diaz formerly of Lincoln City and great niece, Betsy McDowell of Lincoln City.

A memorial service with refreshments following will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 2335 NE 22nd St. in Lincoln City. Final interment will be at a private service at the family's plot in Union Point Cemetery in Banks.

Pacific View Memorial Chapel of Lincoln City is handling arrangements.
