Biography
Ossie was born in 1899. He was the son of Clark Taylor McWhorter (1870–1933) and Mary Emma Gill (1873–1928). He passed away in 1966.
He married Emma L. Staffey on August 1918 in Perry, Perry, Ohio. Their children were James Ervin McWhorter (1919–1981), Raymond E. M. McWhorter (1921–1921), Recil L. Mcwhorter (1923-1927), Goldie I. McWhorter (1925–1995), Samuel Newton McWhorter (1926–1986), Frank A. McWhorter (1929–1969), Nellie Grace (McWhorter) Harris (1930–Deceased), Donna Rose (McWhorter) Alexander (1932–1992), Bonnie Helen (McWhorter) Crom (1934–1979), Rossetta (McWhorter) Lawrence (1935–2011), Fred P. McWhorter (1939–1996) and John David Mcwhorter (1940–2004).
Ossie passed away on 2 March 1966 in Zanesville, Muskingum, Ohio followed with burial at the Greenwood Cemetery in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio.
