Hi Paul,

It’s time for our annual Ireland Project check-in! Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know:

  • If you are happy with the team you’re on or if you’d like to make a change. It is now required that all members with an Ireland project badge work on at least one of the project’s team(s), so if you’ve not yet signed up please do so in your reply to this check-in.
  • What you think the project is doing well, and what (if any) changes you would like to see us make? Are there any teams you would like to become more active in?
  • Would you be interested in helping to work on an Ireland Project newsletter?
  • Please give us some feedback on the use of google group and discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way for us to ensure you receive project communications? If you would like to join us on either one, just let us know in your response and we will get you signed up.

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within two weeks, we will assume you are no longer interested in participating in the Ireland Project, and your badge will be removed. If you wish to reapply for membership later, we will be happy to have you back. Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,

Jen Hutton, on behalf of the Ireland Project

Hi Paul,

Thank you for locating the marriage of James Henry Ellis to Elizabeth Smith, I never thought of looking for the marriage in Ireland, as I hadn't had much information about James' location between 1911 and 1921, but everything on the marriage certificate matches, even to his father Joseph being a plumber, Thanks David

Are you happy to stay in your current project team(s)? Which team(s) are you most active in? Are there other teams you would like to join or become more active in?

Also, do you have any feedback on what the project is doing well and anything we could do better in the future?

Thanks Paul for your detailed answer to my question on Jane Armstrong. I had already found that the Armstrongs of that time had a penchant for using the same names (just to confuse us) and my head was beginning to spin. You seemed to found your way through the maze much better than I did. I am off now to digest your reply and reflect it in the appropriate profiles. I had just had to say first how much I appreciate your effort.

Hi Paul,

As you can see I have just been sent a copy of a photograph of Emily Robinson (nee Cave), which I have uploaded to WikiTree. Along with it I was sent copies of a two letters, from which I propose to add detail to several of the Cave and Robinson family members.

Hi Martin,

That's a nice photo of Emily. It's great that you've got some more details from the letters, most of the information I have been able to add is just names, dates and places so hopefully they will help to add a personal touch to some of the profiles.

Thanks Paul re pointing out the double up on the profile of my ancestor James Hall Day. I have now put in a merge request for his wife as there was no wife called Elizabeth. His wife was Eliza bull and that is her name on the birth record and on the 1841 and 1851 census records as well.

Many thanks, Alison Ball nee Wisdom
