By 1860, she was married to John Bunyon Tillery and lived in Fairmount, Gordon, Georgia, United States with a son and daughter.[3]

John died in June 1880 and is buried next to his 2nd wife in Lower Beaver Creek Cemetery, Fremont County, Colorado, USA.[8]
It isn't known where Mary Jane is buried.
