William Woodrow Marshall was born on 3 Nov 1921 in White, Tennessee, United States, son of Felix Bart Marshall (1889 - 1965) and Lillie Annie (Conley) Marshall (1896 - 1964).

William married Vencie Lola Sparks (1921 - 2010).^[1]

Their son was John D Marshall (1950–2011)

In the 1930 census William (age 7) was the son of F B Marshell in District 02, White, Tennessee, United States.^[2] F B Marshell 37, wife Annie Marshell 30, son William Marshell 7, son Hurbert Marshell 6, daughter Jessie M Marshell 0, stepson Thurman Whitaker 15, brother Mathew Marshell 25.

In the 1940 census Bill (age 19) was the single son of Fee Marshall in Civil District 2, White, Tennessee, United States.^[3] Fee Marshall 40, wife Annie Marshall 40, son Bill Marshall 19, son Herbert Marshall 17, daughter Jessie Mai Marshall 15, daughter Martha Marshall 13, daughter Franklyn Marshall 1, brother Mit Marshall 26, lodger Thurman Conley 35.

William died on 26 Nov 1986 in Tennessee aged 65. He is buried in Sand Springs Memorial Gardens, Monterey, Tennessee.^[4][5]
