The Saline County book done in the 1980's has an article on the early Marshalls in Saline County called: Marshall Family, Bridging the Gap. It talks quite a bit about Richard Allen Marshall (1790-1872). There is also apparently a picture of him on page 582 of the 1881 History of Saline County. It would be great to scan that and add it to his memorial. There is also a description of Richard in T.C. Raney's Along The Trail. It describes Richard as "a man with broad shoulders, a loud voice, a large family and fond of hunting coons at night." (Information from Bill Wealot)
