The Profile Improvement Project (PIP) is performing its first annual check-in with our project members. Please review the following and let us know if you are content where we have placed you or would like to be more involved.
We are in the process of transitioning to a team structure. There will be three participant PIP Teams to start -- The Maintenance Category Team, the Unknowns Team, and the Biography Team. There is also the Voyage Team which guides new Voyagers. See the Profile Improvement Project Teams for a brief outline of each team.
You're currently identified as a member of the Biography Team Level 1, working on profiles from your own watchlist, from projects in which you are involved, and whatever else you find. Biography Teams Levels 2 and 3 will work on designated profiles for notables (Level 3) and everyday people (Level 2). Please let us know if you would like to help with a higher-level Bio Team or one of the other Teams. We saw that at one time you were interested in the Unknowns team. Would you like to continue in that team?
You joined the Project before the Voyage started in late 2018. We would like to invite you to consider a "fast track" Voyage, especially if you would like to work at a higher level on the Biography Team. If you’re interested, choose a profile from your own watchlist that you have completed to the best of your ability and compare it to the Voyage Biography Standards. If your profile is at Level 2 or better, include a link to the profile in your response to this check-in for a “fast track” review.
We would also like to invite you to join the email GoogleGroup and text chat Discord channel for our project. If you request to join our GoogleGroup, please be sure to include your Wiki ID. Neither is required; we also use the Profile_Improvement tag in G2G for Project announcements.
We thank you for all you do to help the Profile Improvement Project and WikiTree. The Project’s mission is to:
We know you’re working on profiles *smile* We would like to hear about successes you’ve had toward the Project’s goals. We would also appreciate any feedback you might have to help us improve the Project. Please share your thoughts in a reply to this comment or privately via private message to either of us.
Sincerely,
Debi Hoag and Robin Shaules Co-Leaders, Profile Improvement Project
It’s time for our annual Ireland Project check-in! Please respond within the next two weeks to let me know:
Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within two weeks, we will assume you are no longer interested in participating in the Ireland Project, and your badge will be removed. If you wish to reapply for membership later, we will be happy to have you back. Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely, Jen Hutton, on behalf of the Ireland Project
Not sure if you're still frequenting this site. You added a marriage and death certificate for Andrew Dunbar (N. Ireland). I'm wondering if you have a connection to this family. I believe the person named in the certificates might be the brother of my great-grandfather.

It’s time for a Project check-in!
Scotland Project Leaders check in with you at least once a year to see how you are doing. With the changes happening around the world, we understand that life is hectic right now.
What are you planning to work on for the Scotland Project this year? Are you happy with the team(s) you part of, or would you like to make some changes?
This time round, we’re also looking for feedback on the use of Google Group and Discord. Do you use one or both of these? If you don’t use either of them, what is the best way to ensure you receive Project communications? If you would like to join us on Google Group or Discord, let us know in your response.

You added information re Georgina Brines. Is she related to you? She is my grandmother.
As you have offered me some real help with my ancestral page and research, I thought you might be interested in a research project I had completed by a Dr. Tyrone Bowes. It is about the Hawthorne migration from Scotland to Ireland, Co. Down during the plantation of 1610. The report is truly interesting and informative. Now all I have to do is fill in the ancestral information from 1610 to 1800's; only a couple of hundred years! Anyway, thanks for your help in the past, hope you can open and like the file, if no let me know and we can try another way? Cheers Manny P.s. the file is attached to my Wikitree page.

His great-granddaughter, Elizabeth M'crum, re-issued his 'History of Carrickfergus'. She included a bio in which she speculates that SM was an only child (due to lack of death records of siblings). But I wonder, I've seen a news item about an Andrew M'skimin born in Ballyclare within 10 years of him...
On behalf of the Connectors Project Leaders, we are doing a six-month check-in with members. Please let us know if you are still active. If you are active, please let us know in which ways you are currently contributing to the project.
All of us at WikiTree would like to thank you for your contributions and hope that you are enjoying exploring your roots.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you for taking the time to help me out on this line in my tree. You helped to solve a riddle that had my mothers family stumped for years. Her brother always thought that there was a brother to my grandfather Squires named Hyder. Now I see that Isabella Cockburn married a man whose surname was Hyder! One riddle solved. There must be other Cockburn siblings because of the big gap in birth years that will be the next job! Thanks for all the additional information!
