Biography

America Fair, daughter of G. R. Jones and his wife, A.M., was born Santee, South Caroklina in 1869.[1] At the time of the 1880 census, at the age of 11, she worked on her father's farm in Santee. She then had five siblings: G.W. (male, age 9), H.E. (daughter, age 7), D.B. (male, age 4), R.L. (male, age 2), and A.G. (male infant).

She married Robert Aycock Sr, a widower with five children, sometime around 1890. America and Robert had seven children:

Evelyn Viola (1891-1986)
Robert James (1893-1975)
George Jones (1896-1965)
Mary Maude (1898-1986)
Seth Dewey (1900-1900)
Zula Mae (1902-1902)
Eula Mood (1902-1902)

America passed away at the age of 41, in August of 1910 and is buried in Shorter-Aycock Cemetery, Davis Station, Clarendon County, South Carolina.[2]
