Biography

Minna "Minnie" Jones was born in 1878 in Wentnor, Shropshire, England to John Jones and Emma (Walker) Jones. Her birth was registered in Clun, Shropshire in the third quarter of the year, with her mother's maiden name recorded as Walker.^[1]

In 1881 Minnie Jones (age 2) lived in Wentnor with her father John (34, General Labourer), mother Emma (33), and four siblings: Hannah (8, Scholar), Mary Ann (6, Scholar), Emily (4, Scholar), and Henry (0), as well as lodger George Hudson (63, Gardener).^[2]

In 1891 Minna Jones (age 12, Scholar) lived in Wentnor with her father John (45, Grocer), mother Emma (43), and four siblings: Henry (10, Scholar), Alfred John (7, Scholar), Harriet (4, Scholar), and Lucy (1).^[3]

In 1901 Minnie Jones (age 22, Cook Domestic) lived at Hornby Road in Blackpool, Lancashire with her employer Sarah Bailey (51, Living On Own Means) - also in the household were Sarah's two sisters: Fanny Bailey (49, Living On Own Means) and Annie Bailey (43, Living On Own Means).^[4]

Minnie Jones married James Henry Mylroie in 1908. The marriage was registered in West Derby, Lancashire in the first quarter of the year.^[5]
