Ellen Quirk Jane was born on January 22, 1881 in Bealiba, Colony of Victoria, daughter of Edwin Jane (1842–1915) and Henriette Jenkins (1840–1918).[1]
Nessie (26) married Thomas William Mathews (34) (born in 1872 in Port Melbourne, Victoria; son of Eliza (Gates) Mathews) on January 23, 1907 in Fremantle, Western Australia, Australia.
Their children were:
- Percy William Quirk Jane (1898–1952)
