Biography

Robert, son of Thomas Jane of "Bocconnock" was christened, ___ day of January 1594/5 in Lanreath^[1]. He was a churchwarden at Lanreath in 1630^[2]. There are numerous years missing from the Lanreath Parish Records but several of his children are found in them. In 1643 Pentecost Hambly of Lanreath made her will, naming her cousin Robert Jane, executor^[3].

Children:

Thomas son of Robert and Elizabeth Jane was baptized the 6th day of January 1627^[4].

Jone daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Jane was baptized the first day of November 1630^[5].

William ye sonne of Robt. and Elizabeth Jane was baptized the first daye of Marche 1634^[6].

Grace the daughter of Robt. and Elizabeth Jane was baptized the 12(?) day of Maye 1644^[7].

Others Baptized in Lanreath

Robt, son of John and Rebecca Jane was baptized the 29th of September, 1644^[8]. In 1672 "Rebecca Jane was buried the 14th day of August"^[9]

Research Notes

The 1638 will of John Hambly of Lanreath names his wife Pentecost his brother-in-law Thomas Jane was named overseer of his will^[10].
