When Nancy Jane James was born on August 15, 1875, in Ozark, Missouri, her father, John, was 27, and her mother, Mary, was 20. She married Thomas Henry Minyard and they had six children together. She then married James Carson Davis and they had three children together. She died on October 3, 1952, in Seattle, Washington, at the age of 77.
