It is believed that Anna Hunter was born in British Colonial, Virginia in 1745 to John Hunter (1705-1752) and Jacomine Hunter (born Johnson) (1704 - 1753).[1] The notes found in the Allen Family Bible preserved at the Virginia State Library for the family of Hugh Allen indicate that Hugh Allen married Anne [or Anna] Hunter, on 6 Nov. 1765. Their children are listed as: Robert, Anne, Jane, Malcolm "Jr.", Thomas, William, John, James, Betty, Matilda, Polly, Patsy, Rebecca, Moses.[2] Ann Hunter Allen is said to have died in 1825 in Davidson County, Tennessee but an official source has not been located as of yet.[3]
