Elizabeth (Hunter) Erwin was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)
Birth
Betsy Hunter was born about 1847 in the Port Phillip District, the daughter of James Hunter and Eliza Herd. In 1849, Betsy and two siblings were baptised, their birthplaces indexed as Goulburn River. From a sibling's birth later in the same year, it seems her father worked at Doogallook, the station owned by John Cotton on the Goulburn River near Yea or Seymour. At the time, this area was still the Colony of New South Wales. [1]
Marriage
In 1864, now known as Elizabeth Hunter, she married Thomas Erwin (1840–1918) in Victoria. [2]
