Biography

John A. Hunter was born in Ohio in 1825. He married Mary Jane Van Wye in 1846.^[1] According to John's marriage record (see original), his father was Joseph Hunter.

John died in Ohio in 1858.

In doing research, a John A. Hunter is found on Find A Grave website Memorial Id: 27681868. There seems to be a typographical error in recording death date. On website the date is 01/29/1838, however date of death on tombstone in photo is January 29, 1858. I believe this the grave site of our ancestor, John A. Hunter.
