Photo of the famous Hunter cane made by Joseph Hunter Sr.: The Hunter Family history tells of Joseph Hunter Sr. Passing this cane down to his son, Jesse B. Hunter, who settle in Bartholomew County Indiana in 1844. Jesse B. Hunter passed the cane down to his son, Joseph Hunter, who settled in Bartholomew County near Hwy 7. Joseph Hunter then passed this cane on down to his son, Jesse Hunter, who farmed 40 acres east of Edinburg, Indiana. Jesse Hunter then passed this cane down to his son, Joseph Glenn Hunter, who also had a farm east of Columbus, Indiana. Joseph Glenn Hunter then passed the cane on to me, his nephew, Thomas Joseph Davis since he had no children of his own. I received the cane in 1993, along with the Hunter Family bible shortly before Joseph Glenn Hunter died. I was entering seminary in Kansas City, Kansas. - Thomas Davis
