Carl Andrew Hooper was born on August 18, 1936 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States, son of Walter Charles Hooper (1910–1975) and Flora Elizabeth Garnet (1913–2003).
He lived in Allegheny City, Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States in 1950. [1]
Carl was a retired truck driver for Lucky Stores in Southern California. He was an award winning Country, Americana, and Gospel song writer. Carl was a very prolific writer and could write anywhere. He sang his songs for all to enjoy especially at his beloved Fieldon Baptist Church.[2]
He died on 2 October 2015, in Fieldon, Jersey, Illinois, United States, at the age of 79, and was buried in Fieldon Cemetery, Fieldon, Jersey, Illinois, United States.[3]
