Biography

Mark Hamill was featured in Hollywood Walk of Fame, 2018.

Mark Hamill was born September 2th, 1951 in Oakland, California to William Thomas Hamill Jr. and Virginia Suzanne Johnson. [1] He was an actor most famous for his role as "Luke Skywalker" in the Star Wars franchise and as the voice of "The Joker" in various adaptations of the clown prince of crime. Mark was one of seven children and during his early life he moved frequently as his father served in the military. By his junior year in high school, he joined the Drama Club at Nile C. Kinnick High School and graduated in 1969. He then majored in drama at Los Angeles City College.

Acting career

Before making the big time starring in "Star Wars", he starred in various shows such as the soap opera, "General Hospital" and "The Partridge Family". By 1977, Mark was cast as Luke Skywalker in George Lucas's first "Star Wars" trilogy, a role he would be most noted for portraying.

By the 1980s and 1990s, Mark turned his attention toward voice acting and had an iconic performance as "Batman"'s arch nemesis, the Joker in "Batman: The Animated Series" and "Spider-Man" villain "Hobgoblin" in "Spider-Man: The Animated Series. As for live action roles, Mark was credited for portraying "Flash" villain, the "Trickster" in the 1990 "The Flash" television series. In the mid 2000s, he would return to reprise that role in the 2014 "Flash" series.

As the 1990s progressed and the video game series "Wing Commander" started to employ actors for live action roles, Hamill starred as protagonist "Colonel Christopher Blair in several games in the series.

Eventually he took on roles playing himself in shows such as "Big Bang Theory" and other notable roles.

Writing career

Mark co-authored "The Black Pearl" for Dark Horse Comics and has written many introductions to various trade paperbacks starring various characters in the DC Universe.

Personal life

While Mark had a relationship with a "General Hospital" co-star named Anne Wyndam, he ultimately met and married Marilou York in a private ceremony in 1978. Together, they had three children who would later cameo in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" as soldiers in the Resistance.
