Hanß Hallensleben was the lease holder at farm no. 3 in Varendorf from about 1657 until his son and heir Hans Hinrich took over in 1690. Hanß's wife was Anna nee Linde with whom he had five children:
- Anna Dorothea,
- Catharina,
- Hans Hinrich,
- Ursula,
- Kasten.
Hanß passed away on 19 Jan 1705 in Varendorf no. 3 and was buried at Natendorf on 21 January.[1]
Research Note
His birth year is estimated as about 1635 on the assumption that he was in his early twenties when he took over the farm about 1657, and that he was about 70 years old at the time of his death in 1705.
