Biography

Lydia (Gregurke) Wittwer was born in the Colony of South Australia (1836-1900)

Born and lived at Tablelands south of Eudunda, then moved with her family to Bundey north of Robertstown at about age 4.^[1]

Married Johann August Wittwer on 23 January 1902 at Bundey, South Australia.^[1]

They had 12 children:

Farmed at Bundey then Geranium Plain. Following death of her husband in 1920, she moved to Oxford Landing in 1928, accompanied by six sons and four daughters^[1]. Retired to Eudunda around 1943. Then lived with her daughter's family (Sylvia Freebairn) at Snowtown from 1970.

She was buried at Eudunda cemetery.
