Research Notes
Walter's birth year on the US Census records ranges from 1858 to 1864. The year 1864 was chosen because the 1900 census specifically asks for birth month and year. However, 1862 was listed more commonly on the other census records.
Walter should be found in the US census records for 1870 and 1880. His birth year is more likely to be more accurate in these records. Research has not yet been done in this area.
