• 1582 Feb 09 Relative's Will: COOPER, Richard; And furthermore I doe appoint Thomas Cooper, Henrie Cooper. John Kecke, & Gefferie M[o]n[n]muth, to be the overseers of the same. who are also witnesses there unto; 1582/3^[1]

• 1597 May 27 Will: I Henry Cooper of marston sicca in the Countie of Glouc[ester] beinge sicke of body but of good and p[er]fect remembrance ... Imprimis my will is that my [unnamed] mother and my wife shall occupie the livinge together during theire widdowes estate And my sonne Thomas Coop[er] to enter only then uppon halfe of the livinge at the age of a eleven yeares; xx^li each to soones Thomas, William and Johnne, xxx^li each to daughters Margerie and Ales; I ordaine and appoint my sonne Thomas Coop[er] to be my whole executor ... I appoint my brother Thomas Coop[er] and my brother in lawe willliam ffowler to be my overseerers^[2]

• 1598 Apr 27 Will Proved: administration was granted of the goods &c to Thomas Cowper natural brother of the said deceased ... Thomas Cowper sone and executor^[2]

Research Notes

It's not explicit what Thomas and Henry's relationship to Richard is in Richard's will of February 1582, and other wills of the time don't knit the family together: there appear to have been at least three branches. Best guess at the moment is that THomas and Henry were Richard's nephews.

I suspect William Fowler is his wife's brother, but it's also possible he is the husband of a currently unknown sister.
