Birth and Parents: Luther Bancroft "Banny" Cooper Jr. was born on 04 March 1955 in Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama, United States.^[1] He was the son of Luther Bancroft Cooper Sr. and Doris Mae (Hildreth) Cooper (1922-2013)^[2]

Education: He was a 1973 graduate of Elba High School, Elba, Coffee County, Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama where he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity.^[2]
