Stephen Clarkson was one of Canada’s preeminent political scientists

Stephen was born in 1937. His birth was registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1937 in the Hampstead district.^[1]He is the son of George Elliott Clarkson and Alice Helene Manneberg, and he married Adrienne Poy on 14 September 1963.^[2]

He earned a B.A. from the University of Toronto, an M.A. from New College, Oxford, and a D. de Rech. from the University of Paris. He was a professor of political economy at the University of Toronto and a writer of non-fiction.

His obituary indicates he died on 28 Feb 2016 in Freiburg, Germany.^{[3] [4]}
