Alfred Octavius Capper was born about 1865 at Southampton, Hampshire, England. He was a Entertainer and Writer.
Alfred called himself a Thought-Reader and performed the same experiment in exactly the same way with exactly the same patter all over the world. His program consisted of a first part of anti-spiritualistic tricks such as the metal ring passing on to a person's arm while holding the performer's hand, the experiment of having his wrists tied together with a handkerchief, and then having a cord parsed between his arms and both ends of the cord apparently pulled through his wrists which remained tied with the handkerchief. Followed by a demonstration of the Dissolving Knots on a Silk Handkerchief and his billet reading test.
He had experimented with Kings and had traveled 50000 miles during a world tour in 1912. His public activities were largely of an instructive and educational character, appearing at over 500 Public and Preparatory schools.
Capper was knocked down by a passing taxi in Paris in 1921 and instantly killed.
