Biography

Mary Browne was born in Cark, Newmills, county Donegal to the farmer Owen (John) Browne and his wife Mary. She married Edward Kelly, a school teacher from Kilpheak, Glenswilly who was the head master at Ballystrang school. Ballystrang is a townland beside Cark. They had 11 children.
