Arthur was born in 1778. Son of Robert & Unknown (Rankin) Boyd.
1st married Molly (Lewis) Boyd who died in Harrison County, Kentucky. Children:

- Elizabeth (Boyd) Gates
2nd married to Jane Adair (Holliday) Boyd. Children:
- Adam Rankin Boyd; and
