Amos Johnson Beers was born 29 Nov 1826 at Newtown, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States, died 24 Nov 1903 at New Haven, New Haven County, Conn., USA, son of Ezekiel Beers (1796-1877) and Nancy (Johnson) Beers (1796-1830);
he married 1st, in Connecticut, 24 April 1848 to Emily Jeanette Pierpont,[1] born 15 June 1830 at Waterbury, New Haven County, Connecticut, United States, died 19 June 1854 at New Haven, New Haven County, Conn., USA, daughter of Austin Pierpont ((1791-1848) and Sally (Beecher) Pierpont (1830-1854);
he married 2nd, 6 Nov 1855 in Connecticut to Susan Frances Peck ("of Farmington Conn"),[2] born 4 July 1835, died in 1904, daughter of Joel Peck and Charlotte (Scoville) Peck;
Amos J. Beers is buried at Grove Street Cemetery, New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut, USA.[3]
No known children from either marriage.
He was a wholesale fruit dealer in New Haven.
