David Toucey Beers was born 13 July 1795 in Connecticut, United States, bapt. 27 Feb 1796 at at Hobart, Stamford, Delaware, New York,^[1] died 5 February 1856, son of Truman Beers and Amarillis Tousey; married abt 1822 at Delaware County, New York, USA to Hannah? Sally? Polly? Gould, b abt 1800, died 26 November 1842, daughter of Abraham Gould (aka Gold) (1766–1823) and Anna (Osborn) Gould (1764–1847); burial details unknown.

Research Notes

There is a lack of confirmation of the first name and birth date of the wife of David Toucey Beers, who married him abt 1822. She was probably born abt 1800, between the births of her Gould siblings.

• In the 1855 New York State Census, the mother of David Beers' children is recorded as "Polly" Beers, possibly a mis-recording of "Sally."^[2]
• In the 1880 marriage of daughter Mary Beers, then age 41, the parents are recorded as David T. Beers and "Hannah" Beers.
