John Hobart Beers was born 13 July 1840 at Newtown, Fairfield County, Connecticut, USA, died 15 Dec 1915 at Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, son of Hermon Beers (1803-1876) and Phedima (Peck) Beers (1771-1860); married 12 Jan. 1871 Keturah G. Sharp, born abt. 1845 in New Jersey, daughter of Jacob W. Sharp and Susan (Folwell) Sharp of Camden, New Jersey; buried at Rosehill Cemetery and Mausoleum, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA.^[1]

Children, probably b. Chicago:

1. Ann Sharp, b. 3 Nov 1871 at Chicago, Ill., died 6 Dec. 1891, unmarried.
2. Keturah Sherman, b. 25 Sep. 1878; married 1st Woodward Holmes. She may have married 2nd ______ Vanswold.
