Biography

William Evans Bahr, son of Otto Plato Bahr and Margaret Fullerton Evans, was born in Port Arthur, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, 30 July 1925.^[1] Sometime after 1935, William immigrated to the United States where he is listed in the 1940 US Census living with his grandmother in Waterloo, Blackhawk, Iowa. ^[2]

William registered for the US Draft, 26 March 1946.^[1] He was serving as a Corporal in the US Navy when he married, Delores Maxine Moon in Nashua, Chickasaw, Iowa, 8 November 1948.^[3]

William and Delores eventaully moved to Livermore, Alameda, California where Delores passed away in 1984. Sometime before 1993, William relocated to Stockton, California.^[4] He lived in a number of locations, but eventually settled again in Stockton where he passed away, 10 July 2013.^[5] He is buried in Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, Solano, California.^[6]
