Eric Aksel Andersen-Vie was the son of Axel Andersen Mary Jane Loding born 07 November, 1941.
Eric was born in Greenville, Montcalm County, Michigan.
On 16 July, 1966 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jackson, Jackson, Michigan, Eric married Joyce Meredith Hansen, daughter of Verle and LaVerne Hansen. In November 1983 in Chillicothe, Ohio Eric divorced Joyce.

Attended Central Michigan University Mt. Pleasant, MI) until 1962. Trained from 1963 to 1966 and became a Machinist. Graduated from Tri-State University in 1976 With A BSChE.
Eric joined the U.S. Navy Reserve 11/03/1963 and served Active Duty with the U.S. Navy from 01/20/1966 to 07/23/1968 and temporarily retired due to injuries received during duty in Vietnam. He was completely retired 07/01/1973 as a Disabled Veteran.
