There was some apparent confusion previously about the mother of Sir Richard Croft's daughter Jane, but there does not seem any reason to doubt that she was Eleanor Cornwall not Eleanor Bare.
Also, someone's guess that Jane was born in Wiltshire (no data can be found to support this) made some people wonder if she could be Sir Richard's daughter, whose family seat was in Herefordshire, despite all the Visitations agreeing that she was. But as there is no proof of age or christening yet found for her, her place of birth remains unknown and can't be a factor in establishing her identity.
